I got bit by an insect.を日本語で言う場合、

虫に刺された

虫に食われた

虫に噛まれた

の3パターンがあるそうです。私は「刺された」と「食われた」は使いますが、「噛まれた」は使ったことがありません。

There are three patterns of saying "I got bit by an insect." in Japanese. I use "虫に刺された" and "虫に食われた", but I have never used "虫に噛まれた".

言葉は生き物、どの地域に住んでいるかで全く違うものですね。当たり前だなと思う反面、不思議だなとも思います。🤔

Words are living things, and they are completely different depending on which part of the world you live in. While I think it is natural, I also think it is strange.
